In 2008, I helped create an interactive Rubens' Tube demonstration - using real instruments - for the Burning Man festival in Nevada. The installation, called "Z-Transform",  consisted of 4 tubes which were connected to a violin, a bass guitar, a drum, and a didgeridoo. The arrangement encouraged musicians to come together in what may have been the first-ever Rubens' Tube jam sessions.
